Play it safe in the pool

Summer is officially here! For many of us, that means the ceremonial trip to the pool, beach or cottage for some fun, sun and the odd dip to cool off. But for many, these fun filled days end in tears. Water related injuries and deaths impact thousands of Canadian families each year and in most cases, these accidents are preventable.

As with any safety issue, it typically comes down to a few simple things that each one of us must take into consideration – education, awareness and common sense. If you take the dangers of water related activities lightly, chances are you are putting the health and safety of you and you family at risk. Understand and respect the dangers associated with water related fun and you’ll be sure to get more enjoyment out of your adventures!

Great tips R! It’s always fun to play in and around the water as long as you take the necessary precautions to ensure EVERYONE is safe and can enjoy themselves :)
