Call me a little crazy but I just broke out all my patio furniture after our first few days of 20 degree plus temperatures (record breaking by the way!). It may seem a little ambitious knowing that we’re still likely to see some traces of snow, but the reality is…Spring is here!
Now most Spring cleanups start with top to bottom cleaning and disinfecting all corners of the house (all natural of course – check out our recent video about how to clean green). This is usually followed by packing away the winter gear, unearthing the BBQ, and doing a little pre-season lawn and garden maintenance.
As good a start as this all may be, let’s develop some new habits that will take the spring cleanup to a whole new level this year. In today’s video, we’ll start inside, move outside and then head up onto our roof and conduct a DIY audit that’s certain to make your home a safer, more comfortable, more affordable and greener place to live this Spring.
Let’s get to it!
As always, we’d love your thoughts or other ideas on how to make the most of your spring clean up! Please leave your comments below.

Thank you so much, the spring cleaning video was very informative. I took notes, made a list so my husband and I can get to work as soon as the nice weather begins. It's the little tips and hints that will make a big difference in the end. Thanks again, Melanie :)

Thanks Melanie. I think you'll be happy with the results. People just assume that you need cupboards full of toxic products to get the job done. That's certainly not the case. Wishing you and your husband good luck!

I have done 70% of the suggested or to do check list as of this date. I have done the visual inspections of the furnace and the air conditioner but the professional inspections of the furnace and air conditioner have not been done yet. Hope to learn more from you guys.

Where can you get home air quality tested
    • Rich Massingham
I suggest doing a simple google search for "Indoor Air Quality Testing" and you should be presented with some local options.
